Custom Invoices – Advanced Templates in ConnectWise
NexNow clients give us many outside-the-box requests. As a result, we’ve created several unique custom invoices in Report Writer. An upcoming blog series will highlight discoveries that made these advanced custom templates possible. In the mean time, visit our invoice template page to connect with us to get started on your invoice right away.
MASTER INVOICES
Are your clients tired of seeing multiple invoices every month for recurring services? With this in mind, we’ve created master invoice templates. Combine Agreement invoices with Standard invoice details for a unified invoice. Simply create the invoices as usual and send/print one of them via the Invoicing screen. Our custom invoice combines details from every current invoice for that company for a combined total. Additionally, we can include the original ConnectWise invoice numbers for internal reference.
COMBINED CUSTOM INVOICE TEMPLATES
Do you want to save your team the hassle of selecting a different invoice template for different types of standard invoices? Combined custom invoice templates use if/then logic to determine how the invoice should display.
Examples:
- If your invoice has a project associated with it, automatically add a unique HTML block with project details
- If your client has not set up ACH, have a text block indicating that they can get a discount by doing so
- Use the same HTML template for standard or agreement invoices
AGREEMENT ADDITION BUNDLING CUSTOM INVOICE
Many MSPs use separate additions to get costs in the proper buckets but want a summed total with no $0 price products. With this purpose in mind, we created a grouped agreement addition setup. Doing so simplifies things on your custom invoice and doesn’t sacrifice your financial accuracy.
Set up your own custom fields in ConnectWise to control addition grouping/ordering and whether quantities, totals, or descriptions display. Here’s one example of Addition bundling setup:
