Year-End Maintenance
We’re all familiar with the little ConnectWise pop-up this time of year reminding us what we need to do to prepare ConnectWise for the coming year with some year-end maintenance.
This is also a good time to think about any cleanup and purging that can be done to declutter and maybe even make things run a little faster. Here are a couple things we like to recommend.
Mass Maintenance
If you haven’t reviewed the Mass Maintenance screen in awhile, now is a great time to do it. Tidy things up by deleting old closed Activities. Visit the Company Recycle Bin and sort by Date Deleted. Do you have anything older than a year? Perhaps it’s time to say goodbye.
Deduplication
Do you have a lot of companies that should be merged (perhaps a bunch of duplicate companies created by a 3rd party vendor) but don’t have the time to do them individually? Contact NexNow and we can help you get these cleaned up and moved to the Company Recycle Bin for future purging.
Archive old data
If you’ve been using ConnectWise Manage for many years, you may be bogged down with a few million service tickets you don’t need (perhaps from the first few days after installing LabTech?) or other records you don’t need immediate access to or that can be deleted entirely. Though there are many things that affect the speed of ConnectWise, this kind of cleanup is often an immediate performance boost. Contact NexNow and we can help you archive or purge your old data.
